I was really disappointed with my experience yesterday. I stopped in looking for advice on a garden pest issue and was surprised that there wasn't a single knowledgeable staff member available to help. An employee called someone who was on break (even though I told him I was happy to wait or come back later), but he wouldn't tell me when that person would be available and instead just called him. The employee on the phone simply told them which product to sell me, but when I had questions about how to use it or whether it was the right choice, I was told to "just read the directions on the bottle." After I got home, I discovered the product warns that it can kill all pollinators in the area. As someone who gardens specifically to attract bees and butterflies, that's a huge concern. I wish someone had mentioned that or taken the time to discuss safer alternatives. I ended up wasting $25 and a trip to the store without getting the guidance I came in for. I've always enjoyed buying flowers from Earl May, but this experience left me feeling like I need to find a garden center with trained, knowledgeable staff who can actually answer gardening questions.

Just had a fabulous experience at Earl May on Bloomfield Road, the young men that work there are so helpful and so polite they help you find anything you need they are truly a gem, the prices are pretty good too!

Om!! Great store lots of amazing things for plant lovers! The workers there were super friendly and helpful!

Earl May has been around forever and there's a reason why...they have EVERYTHING! I love the openness of the inside and the large variety both inside and outside. The staff is very helpful and insightful in guiding you through your next project. They helped answer my questions and gave me feedback on my ideas while providing other choices/options that I never would've thought of. Great store and great staff members!

We needed a few items for the yard, Earl May had them all and in several varieties. Yeah Baby! We again walked through Earl May and found a real cool American flag star, looks great on my small barn! See picture.
